PRE-WEDDING
Rebecca and Alex chose the Riverside Ranch as their preferred wedding venue for both their ceremony and reception. The couple took full advantage of the Riverside Ranch's reception and accommodation package which allowed them to both get ready at the same location.
The bride and her bridesmaid's all got ready together in the Bridal suite which is separate from the house allowing both the bridal party and groom to be away from each other. The crew from Zig Zag Hair came on-site to offer their mobile hair and makeup services to the bridal party.
The boys got prepped for the big day in the main part of the house away from the girls.
THE WEDDING CEREMONY
Rebecca and Alex expressed their love for one another in front of 60 of their closest guests. The ceremony was officiated by Meg from Married by Meg and the seating was provided by local furniture hire company Fig Tree Lane Event Hire.
Rebecca and Alex chose to hold their ceremony amongst the forest nestled beside the riverfront. They chose this location rather than the large Figtree for their ceremony as they liked the idea of getting married amongst the trees as it would provide a much more natural and cozy atmosphere. Rebecca also felt like the trees in this area created a natural isle, which added an extra element of intimacy to the ceremony.
Choosing this area for their ceremony also allowed for the Fig Tree to be available for the bridal shoot that would take place after the ceremony.
LOCATION PHOTOS
After the ceremony concluded the couple and their bridal party made the short walk over to the large old Figtree to get their photos taken. Their photographer, Eleasha Grivins, took full advantage of the afternoon light spilling through the limbs of the Figtree to capture some absolutely magical moments of the couple.
While the bridal party was busy getting their photos, the guests enjoyed drinks and nibbles from grazing platters provided by Spare Chef Catering.
THE RECEPTION
The reception was held inside the Moondance Salon and was all DIY by the couple. Rebecca and Alex hired the large timber feasting tables provided by Fig Tree Lane Event Hire and did the styling of the tables themselves. The couple also organised and set up the fairy lights themselves in the salon.
Their guests and themselves enjoyed a banquet-style meal put together by the creative team at Spare Chef Catering, which involved shared plates in the middle of tables for their guests to help themselves to.
The couple utilized the Moondance Salon's in house sound system to hook up their own personal device to and play the music they had compiled before the wedding.
END OF NIGHT
At the end of the night, they organised a bus to take their guests back to their accommodation in Yamba. They also used this to collect their guests at the start of the night.
