PRE-WEDDING

Dannika and her girl gang got ready for her big day at the Yamba Pilot Cottage which is conveniently located within metres of the Yamba Lighthouse where Dannika and Tom's ceremony would take place. They took full advantage of the mobile hair service that Zig Zag Hair offer so they could get ready in the comfort of their accommodation.

The groom had the luxury of getting all kitted up along the riverside at the Rivershack, which would also serve as the wedding reception venue.

THE WEDDING CEREMONY

The ceremony was held at the Yamba Lighthouse or also known as Pilot Hill. They chose to have their ceremony setup on the southern side of the hill, which gave them views of Main Beach, Convent Beach and out towards Lovers Point.

The ceremony was setup up by local styling and co-ordination business Ivy Lane & Co. and officiated by ever so bubbly and down to earth local marriage celebrant Married by Meg. They used a white timber arbour and jute rugs for the aisle supplied by Ivy Lane & Co. Seating consisted of 6 white timber benches from Hampton Event Hire who also provided the timber signing table with chairs.

LOCATION PHOTOS

Dannika and Tom got all their family photos done at the lighthouse where the ceremony was conducted and then went to several locations to get their bridal party and husband and wife photos done.

While the bridal party went and got their photos, the guests made the short walk to the Pacific Hotel to have a drink and wait for the bus that would take them out to the reception venue at the Rivershack.

The first location shoot was at the top of Main beach on the pathway that leads down to the pool.

They then travelled out to Green Point out at Angourie. This is a very popular ceremony location but also works well for photos with its lush green bushes, sandstone path and views out to the ocean.

The bridal party then travelled to Back Beach Angourie for their final lot of photos. The couple utilised the variety of spots that Back Beach Angourie offers in order for their photographer to capture some unique and gorgeous photos. These shots consisted of the lookout platform, timber walkway down to the beach and also in the dunes overlooking Back Beach.

THE RECEPTION

The reception was held at the Rivershack looking out to the Clarence River. All of their guests were transported out to the Rivershack by bus from the Pacific Hotel. The guests were greeted with a grazing table created by the very clever Amber from Little Gatherings who also created the wedding cake.

Dannika and Tom went with a cocktail style reception choosing a variety of lounges, coffee tables and high bars with tall stools all sourced from Hampton Event Hire. They chose to have half of their furniture under the stars and the other half under the 10x15m stretch marquee provided by Willow Tree Marquees. They also offered their guests a range of lawn games they could partake in at their own leisure.

At the end of the night all of their guests were picked up by bus and transported back to their Yamba accommodation in town while the newly weds also stayed back in town at the The Cove Apartments.
