Looking for that perfect waterfront venue for your wedding, but need to stay on budget? The River Shack is a picturesque location on the riverfront at Yamba, with acreage and lawned areas to host the most beautiful wedding. 

 

The property comprises a self-contained cabin and exclusive use of the surrounding grounds with absolute privacy. With water views, gardens and rustic charm, it is the perfect ceremony location for your special occasion.

 

There is also a private jetty and boatramp with 100-acres of river frontage, and an exclusive camp site if guests would like to stay. Or we are just mintues from Yamba's CBD where there is plenty of accommodation to house travelling friends.

 

The River Shack has existing outdoor BBQ tables for seating, but we recommend hiring tables and chairs if you'd prefer a seated ceremony. There is plenty of room for a marquee to provide extra weather protection and peace of mind.

VENUE DETAILS

VENUE HIRE
$6600 for 3 days/2 nights or $7700 for 7 days/6 nights. All of these prices include the use of the entire property including the house that can sleep up to 6 guests. Power is accessible from outside the house. There will be an extra fee if the River Shack is required to clean the site and remove the rubbish.

 

CAPACITY

The property has the capacity to cater for a large wedding of up to 400 people.

 

MARQUEE
A marquee would be essential for this property. The large grassed area in front of the house allows for many marquee and tent options. 

 

CEREMONY
You have the option to have your ceremony on the jetty that overlooks the river or on the grassed area situated on the edge of the river. If wet weather is evident it would be possible to have the ceremony up at the house under the undercover area.

 

CURFEW
11:00 pm

 

CATERING
This is a self-catering venue. There is a small kitchen in the house with limited facilities. It would be suggested that a cater provide their own means of cooking and serving. All crockery, cutlery and glassware need to be provided by the hirer or caterer. 


MUSIC

Bands are permitted for functions within the soundproof Pavillion building. Power is able to be run from the house.

 

PARKING
There is ample parking on the property.

TRANSPORT
The venue is on a secluded location on the river with access down a dirt road for 2km. It would be essential that buses or taxis are organised prior to the day. Access by bus is possible.

​

DRINKS
BYO. There is very limited fridge space in the house so it would be essential to hire a cool room for the event.

 

TOILETS
Yes. There is one toilet inside the house and one outside, however, the hiring of extra portaloos is encouraged.

 

ACCOMMODATION
Yes. The house can sleep up to 6 people.
